Global institutional trading network provider Liquidnet has announced the addition of Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) to its dark pool platform, giving 800 asset managers access to a market with $879 billion capitalization.
This is the 12th Asian market that has been added to the platform, following Thailand, India and the Philippines. Liquidnet now has now access to 44 equity markets, globally.
"Our launch of Taiwan equities follows Liquidnet's successful launches of trading in Thai, Indian and Philippines equities and further demonstrates our commitment to providing institutional investors with access to large scale liquidity in the region," said Lee Porter, head of Liquidnet APAC, in a statement.
