Lehman Brothers is ramping up its online efforts, developing a firm-wide e-commerce strategy and overhauling its Website for institutional clients. That means it has to beef up its servers and upgrade its network.

Lehman is investing millions to increase capacity, not to mention reliability, says Dexter Senft, who heads Lehman’s fixed income e-commerce group. But then, that’s really an ongoing effort. "There’s a constant upgrading of networks for more bandwidth, reliability, throughput," he says
