FactSet Buys Fundamentals "Copy"

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, though the price to be paid by FactSet will depend on how many clients choose to subscribe to the data from FactSet rather than Thomson Reuters.

The sale includes a copy of the database, source data and collection software, and the potential to acquire client contracts. Thomson Reuters will provide "transitional services" to support FactSet for 18 months after the deal closes, which is expected to take place this quarter.
