Tokyo Grain Exchange Hit by Data Outage

On April 21 the exchange confirmed disruptions to quote-data dissemination, but did not specify the date or time that the disruptions occurred. An exchange spokesperson says the interruption stemmed from a problem with its electronic order book, which halted real-time price distribution to brokers and data vendors for all commodities traded on the exchange-though bid and ask prices for sugar and coffee futures remained available.
