Amex Saves with S&PComStock

The American Stock Exchange has negotiated a wholesale "master" market data supply deal with Standard & Poor's ComStock that "significantly reduces" its market data bill, says George Tull, director of market operations and trading floor systems.

The exchange was able to cut costs by signing a master deal with S&PComStock that covers projects across multiple business units. The agreement can cover up to six business units, although only three--equity research, Amex.com and product development-
