Multex Gains Funding, Letters Of Intent From Kidder, Paine

Multex Systems Inc. -- the ADP spin-off that wants to be a new-age competitor to First Call Corp. -- has taken some key steps toward getting its graphical full-text research distribution system up and running.

The Jersey City, N.J.-based vendor has gotten both Kidder Peabody & Co. and PaineWebber Inc. to agree to evaluate putting their equity research documents on the Multex delivery platform. What's more, Multex has secured financing from New York City-based venture capital firm Euclid Partners
