has received antitrust clearance under the European Union Commission's simplified merger control procedure rules to acquire joint control of Meteor with German business media group Verlagsgruppe Handelsblatt. Earlier this year, Reuters and Handelsblatt announced their plan to launch a personal finance website for online private investors that would offer commentary on financial news and analysis of company and market trends (IMD, July 24).
