Bear Stearns Picks Triarch 2000 For Bond Desk; Future Interoperability With TIB Was An Issue

Bear Stearns & Co. has selected Reuters' Triarch 2000 digital data distribution system to support more than 400 fixed-income traders in New York; the system will be deployed for the most part on Unix-based workstations provided by Hewlett-Packard Co. Bear Stearns opted for Reuters -- rejecting runner-up Teknekron Software Systems Inc. -- at least in part based on Reuters' reassurances concerning future interoperability of Triarch 2000- and Teknekron Information Bus-based systems.
