Chicago's CRT Is Still Testing Next, H-P, For 500 Positions

Chicago Research & Trading Group Inc. (CRT) is still evaluating NeXT Computer Inc. hardware and NeXTstep operating environment as the next platform to support its 500-plus-position trading operation. Upgrade plans have been in the works for nearly two years, but final decisions had been deferred pending regulatory approval of a joint venture with deep-pocketed Mitsubishi Bank. But the withdrawal two weeks ago of the co-ownership application could give CRT's plans a fresh start.
