Over the past three years, the global trading group of Security Pacific Corp.'s merchant bank division has been replacing its worldwide arsenal of trading floor video generating units (VGUs) with PCs that convert incoming video signals to page-based digital information. This data, which includes news and prices, is then fed into Security Pacific's Radius (Rapid Access Display Information Utility System) data distribution network, a home-grown replacement for conventional video and digital switch
