Nasdaq Shutters NIDS, Amends Index Data
Nasdaq OMX will retire its NIDS Nasdaq Index Dissemination Service on Sept. 30, and has advised subscribers to migrate to its GIDS Global Index Data Service, which includes all index and exchange-traded fund data from the group's markets, including OMX's Nordic markets and the former Philadelphia Stock Exchange, whereas the legacy NIDS feed only contained Nasdaq data. Also last week, the exchange told subscribers and data redistributors to remove and manually update closing index values for four
