Nasdaq Fixes Quote Update Glitch

Nasdaq last week informed market makers that it had identified a glitch affecting market maker quotes during trading halts, whereby a quote update for a halted stock would result in Nasdaq's system dropping the updated quote, leaving only one-sided quotes until the available side was executed or cancelled, or until the next morning, when the system refreshed both sides of the quote. Nasdaq said the problem occurred in "a very limited number of instances" and has been fixed.
