ASX Eyes HFTs with ITCH Feed, New Co-Lo

The Australian Securities Exchange plans to launch a new datafeed for its equity and options market data using the ITCH feed protocol, and to open a new co-location facility in the second half of this year to meet the low-latency needs of high-frequency traders, in anticipation of upcoming market competition expected by the end of the year.

ASX currently provides a feed based on the native Inet API of Nasdaq OMX’s Genium Inet exchange technology platform, which ASX rolled out last year, as well
