BATS Preps Equinix Move
Multilateral trading facility BATS Europe will move its trading engine and London datacenter from Savvis’ Docklands facility to Equinix’s Slough LD4 datacenter in October, as part of preparations to merge its business with Chi-X Europe, which is also located in LD4—though the two markets have halted further technology integration pending a review of the takeover deal by the UK’s Competition Commission.
After the move, BATS will retain a point of presence in Savvis until Dec. 16.
