Thomson Reuters Permissioning Glitch Strands Asia Firms Without CME Data

The glitch left firms without permissions to view data on some key CME contracts.

Around 7am local time (7pm US time on Oct. 14), Hong Kong-based firms began to notice that permissions for CME data on Thomson Reuters' Edge devices─the data cache deployed on-site by subscribers─had changed to "off" overnight. Firms were unable to see CME-listed instruments on the Eikon terminal, just as if their permission to view the data had been turned off. In addition, some firms also reported that permissions for other North American exchanges were "mismatched."
