Exegy Gets Expanded CAT Role Under Finra

The vendor will be providing more data capture and processing services for the CAT than when originally selected as part of Thesys Technologies' failed CAT offering.

Finra CAT, the division of industry regulator Finra that will operate the Consolidated Audit Trail, has given greater responsibility for the data operations of the CAT to St Louis-based hardware ticker plant and data technology vendor Exegy, which is one of the technology partners in its development.

Exegy was originally selected to provide historical options market data while Thesys Technologies was still the CAT operator. Thesys was removed from the role in February, and replaced by Finra
