Portware Signs with Cuttone for Floor Broker Services

Customers of trading systems provider Portware may consider it wrong to cut in line, but thanks to a new agreement between Portware and floor broker Cuttone & Co., they will be doing much more of it.

The December agreement gives clients electronic access to Cuttone's brokerage services on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under two order types—parity e-Quotes and discretionary quotes (d-Quotes). Cuttone had never offered those order types electronically; until 18 months ago, NYSE
