Dataminr Gets $13M Funding for Twitter Analytics

Social media analytics provider Dataminr has raised $13 million in Series B financing from new and existing investors among institutional investors and other financial markets participants, to support new client acquisition and continued development to meet growing demand for its products, which monitor social media streams such as Twitter's full content feed for events and information, transforming hotspots of activity into actionable signals, officials say.
