LME Hires EuroCCP Veteran

In preparation for possible self-clearing, officials from the London Metal Exchange (LME) have hired Trevor Spanner as managing director of post-trade services.

Spanner will begin his new role in November after he ends his current position as chief operating officer of the European Central Counterparty (EuroCCP). Once in his new job, Spanner will be responsible for the exchange's ongoing feasibility study concerning self-clearing.
