Genscape Buys Spring Rock to Drive Natural Gas Forecasts Service

Louisville, KY-based energy data provider Genscape is preparing to launch a new Natural Gas Production Forecast service, following its acquisition of Houston-based natural gas and crude oil production forecasts provider Spring Rock Production, which was announced Monday, Oct. 1 for an undisclosed sum.

The new service -- targeted at traders, analysts and hedge funds -- provides natural gas analytics and reporting, including over 30 regional forecasts in the continental US, three regional forecasts in Western Canada, Forecast Summary reports, a weekly Natural Gas Production forecast, a Rig Breakout & Actualization report, a weekly Pipe Flow Analysis update and a monthly report on the US Energy Information Administration's EIA 914 filings from gas well operators submitting monthly volume statistics for natural gas production.
