NY Fed Hires Goldman's Avery as CDO

Linda Avery, chief data officer, Federal Reserve Bank of New York

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York has named Linda Avery as chief data officer. She begins her new role July 28. Previously, Avery was a managing director and vice president, specializing in technology, at Goldman Sachs for about 20 years.

Avery has worked on legal entity identifier (LEI) issues. In 2010, she founded the Global LEI Trade Association, for which she served as co-chair. The association works with regulatory authorities worldwide, including the CFTC, SEC, Federal Reserve and ESMA
