Diminishing returns and increased compliance costs are making life difficult for fixed-income market participants, and complex IT is not helping.

Speaking at a recent roundtable hosted by Deutsche Bank, heads of e-commerce sales at the German bank said that both technological advances and global regulation are driving profound structural changes.  

“We are turning into execution advisors as customers are calling us to get advice on how to trade, when to trade and on which venue,” said Marston.
