A Conversation with Jim Jockle, CMO of Numerix

Irina Slobodyanyuk of Numerix won the vendor professional of the year (trading and risk) category at this year’s Women in Technology and Data Awards. But, like a number of other category winners, she wasn’t able to be in London to receive her award in early March this year. So, in lieu of Irina speaking to WatersTechnology at the event, we decided instead to chat to Jim Jockle, chief marketing officer of Numerix. Jim speaks to Victor Anderson about the following issues:

  • His personal Covid-19 experience and how the pandemic impacted Numerix as an organization
  • The shifts he has noted in the market that Numerix serves since the onset of Covid-19
  • The extent to which those shifts have shone a light on the processes underpinning the industry in terms of greater awareness of and demand for Agile/DevOps frameworks
  • The extent to which clients are now looking for access to hosted applications
  • What is on the firm’s workbench right now in terms of new products or services
  • What the ‘new normal’ looks like from Numerix’s perspective, and when the business might get back to how it was operating before Covid-19
