Thomas Weisel Deploys Fidessa Platform

NEW YORK-Investment bank Thomas Weisel Partners has installed an equity trading platform offered by Fidessa, bank officials tell DWT.
Weisel turned to Fidessa to integrate its trading activities, say officials from the vendor. The switch is intended to reduce costs and mitigate risk, as well as help prepare for Regulation NMS compliance obligations.
Fidessa worked with Weisel for approximately six months to implement the Fidessa platform as well as convert its back office to replace a deployment
