ICE Completes Nyfix, Metabit Sale

New York
ICE is divesting elements of the NYSE Technologies business, following its acquisition of the group.

Both were units of the NYSE Technologies arm, and have been sold to vendor Ullink for an undisclosed amount. Nyfix specializes in Fix-related technology offerings, and operates a financial extranet named Nyfix Marketplace, which boasts over 10,000 users. Metabit is focused on market access and connectivity, aimed at the Asian markets.

"We are pleased to finalize this transaction with ULLINK for the Nyfix and Metabit units of NYSE Technologies," says Ben Jackson, president and COO for ICE Futures US and president at NYSE Technologies. "This completes our goal of divesting certain non-exchange related assets from NYSE Technologies and positioning them with a more appropriate owner."
