The flow of Linux news for the financial technology realm last week was enough to give even Linux bigots pause.

SunGard’s Front Capital has signed on with IBM to help it move Front Arena to Linux (see story, this issue); SunGard itself has acknowledged that it is keeping an eye on Linux. Kx Systems has also gotten on the Linux bandwagon with a forthcoming Linux port and major support from Lehman Brothers and JP Morgan (see story, page 1).
