None of the systems in the datacenter are particularly leading-edge, says John Killey, head of realty services for EMEA at Citi, without giving any further details about the technology being used. "We've made the decisions based on performance, reliability, cost optimization energy efficiency and sustainability," he adds.
As a result, aside from the energy savings, the recently built datacenter also meets datacenter-rating agency Uptime Institute's Tier IV specifications of 99.995 percent
