Study: Green IT Adoption Wanting
Approximately two-thirds of the surveyed organizations have or are developing plans to reduce the energy and emissions caused by their use of technology, according to the study's authors. "But there aren't many that really understand how they can make it happen," says Martin Percival, senior technical evangelist with BEA Systems, which sponsored the study. The vendor community is not doing "a good job" explaining how technology can help those companies solve green issues, he adds.
