Study: SOAs Are the Future

LONDON—Investment banks will need to embrace service-oriented architectures (SOAs) if they want to stay competitive in a market where firms will increasingly rely on technology to stay ahead, according to a new study by the BearingPoint consultancy and the Datamonitor market research group.

Sell- and buy-side firms as well as exchanges participated in the study, released last week. Some of the firms quizzed for the study are ABN Amro, Barclays Capital, Citigroup, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank
