London Stock Exchange Launches FIX Gateway

FIX TECHNOLOGIES

LONDON—The London Stock Exchange (LSE) is helping the sell side communicate with the buy side with the launch of a new FIX gateway.

The vendor-neutral, high-speed message routing service provides a single connection for buy-side clients to sell-side brokers and other execution venues, says George Andreadis, the product manager for the FIX gateway at the exchange.

"We have had since 2002 a retail hub for electronic trading that allows private brokers to connect to other brokers," Andreadis says.
