StreamBase began the year by announcing plans to develop a series of applications for algorithmic trading based on IBM's Websphere Front Office for Financial Markets data platform (IMD, Jan. 29), and soon after named a list of partners who would incorporate the vendor's software into their own systems (IMD, March 26)-as did rival Aleri in the summer (IMD, June 11)-followed later by an alliance with Reuters to develop a bundled package of CEP solutions based on the data giant's RMDS data platform
