Mayor Mike takes that MVP title for the deal he-or perhaps his advisors-closed Thursday with Merrill Lynch to buy the dealer's 20 percent stake in his eponymous data vendor. When interviewed on TV ahead of the game, Bloomberg declined to wear a baseball cap he was given that featured both Yankees and Mets logos. Perhaps he wanted to keep his head clear.
