Floor Brokers Object To MSE Bid To Create Crossing Mechanism

The Alliance of Floor Brokers has lodged a complaint with the Securities and Exchange Commission over the Midwest Stock Exchange's plan to establish an after-hours crossing mechanism (TST, July 17). The complaint follows on the heels of the alliance's recent objections to the New York Stock Exchange's proposal to trade a basket instrument (see related article, this issue).
