COMEX's New President Talks About Electronic Trading

On July 18, David Halperin took over as president of the Commodity Exchange in New York. Halperin spent eight years at the COMEX and became executive vice president before joining the New York Mercantile Exchange for a six-month stint as executive vice president.

As new president of the world's leading metals exchange, Halperin plans to enhance existing product lines and offer new products. TST asked Halperin what he hopes to accomplish in terms of technology at COMEX.
