Reuters Should Register As Exchange, CBOT Says

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission should not approve Globex unless Reuters Holdings PLC registers as an exchange and a clearing organization, according to the Chicago Board of Trade.
The CBOT recently sent the CFTC a comment letter concerning Globex, the after-hours electronic trading network Reuters and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange are jointly developing. The CBOT responded to the Globex proposal outlined by the CME in the July 7, 1988 Federal Register (53 Fed. Reg. 25528).
