Lit America Inc., the largest futures commission merchant in the U.S., is using Automated Systems Co.'s recently developed upgrade of its Basket Evaluation and Trading System (BEATS) in its New York-based index- arbitrage operation.
LIT's index-arbitrage group comprises four traders based at the firm's New York offices. LIT's New York office employs about 100 people; its Chicago headquarters is home to about 2,000. LIT frequently ranks in the top five program traders on the New York Stock
