BNY Expands Operations in Poland
BNY Mellon said today it plans to build a new Global Delivery Center (GDC) in Wroclaw, Poland, providing new staff for fund accounting and investment operations.
The new datacenter will quickly increase the capabilities of the bank's existing operations in the southwestern Polish city. The bank employs more than 90 people in Wroclaw, with the capacity for as many as 300.
"Poland is a central location within Europe, offering high-quality staff and infrastructure, coupled with attractive economics and financial incentives," says Michael Cole-Fontayn, chairman of EMEA at BNY. "Leveraging our existing presence and pool of expertise in Wroclaw to create our new GDC, we can more swiftly enhance our offering to our clients as we help meet their needs across multiple geographies and time zones."
