Citi's Hill: Cloud Augurs 'Biggest Shift Since Desktop Browsers’
Disruptive impacts of the cloud, Waters USA panelists say, range from internal business decisions, to virtualization and application development, to the way external providers package and distribute services.
Graham Hill, Citi's senior vice president of cloud infrastructure, says that as financial firms are waking up to other trends around consumerization and mobile technology, private cloud offerings are becoming more popular while the influence of internal IT is on the wane.
