VoltDB to Provide Database to Eagle for Big Data
Eagle decided that VoltDB best met the speed, scalability and performance requirements it was looking for.
"Its in-memory, high-velocity database will enhance our current and future offerings, and our first use of VoltDB will be in our forthcoming ex-ante risk extension to our performance measurement solution," says Eagle CTO Marc Firenze.
VoltDB says version 3.0 of its database is ideally suited for big data-based transactional applications where the requirements for data ingestion and real-time analytics and decisioning are beyond the reach of traditional databases.
