Solarflare Releases Network Server Security Solution
SolarSecure empowers each server node to monitor and secure network traffic, providing an active checkpoint to ensure network data packets are filtered before entering a networked server. This active security layer is built into Solarflare's Flareon 10/40GbE network adapters to deploy a new level of protection across the enterprise.
"Recent highly-publicized security breaches demonstrate that assailants are targeting enterprise-networked servers where business critical applications and sensitive data are stored, exposing network vulnerabilities at the edge," says Russell Stern, CEO of Solarflare. "The 'Internet of Things' initiatives in the industry will exponentially increase the number of potential security breach points, further exposing enterprise applications and data to attacks. SolarSecure is a first-of-its-kind security solution that empowers enterprises with the technological sophistication necessary to effectively enforce security policies. SolarSecure equips network servers to capture, identify and block malicious traffic before it penetrates the operating system or applications on network servers, all without requiring any additional hardware."
SolarSecure adds security and monitoring capabilities to all servers in the enterprise network, including Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS), Packet Capture, Time Synchronization and Time Stamping.
