E-Crossnet picked Bloomberg (www.bloomberg.com) as its technology vendor and Merrill Lynch (www.ml.com) as its clearing and settlement agent for its impending launch in the first quarter of 2000. The contract with Bloomberg is only for one year, at which point it may be opened to other vendors as well.
