DWT: How does the contest operate?

Andrew Wilkinson, Interactive Brokers: We're trying to encourage tech-savvy students, with perhaps some understanding of finance and trading, to write a trading algorithm program that will kick in automatically and trade a portfolio of a paper sum of $1 million. Over the contest's eight-week period, the aim is to generate as much profit as possible.

DWT: Is trading limited strictly to cash equities?

Wilkinson: There is no real limit to the number of strategies
