SunGard Fires up MarketMap with Platts Real-Time Energy Data, News
The Platts data will provide real-time data for a range of commodities, and allow SunGard to create new data packages for commodities traders.
Platts Real-Time Services includes energy and metals industry news and market commentary, as well as global alerts, which provide real-time information on deals, price indicators for crude and products, and more than 200 end-of-day assessments.
SunGard users will be able to chart, organize, update and analyze the data within the MarketMap terminal, to "discover and respond to trading opportunities," says Ralston Roberts, chief operating officer of SunGard's trading business, in a statement.
