McDonnell IM switches to ASP version of Eagle system

The asset manager has been an Eagle client since 2004, and opted to migrate to the Access offering partially due to maintenance, risk and scalability concerns; it took roughly six months for McDonnell to fully migrate from one accounting platform to the other, according to McDonnell chief information officer John Dragstrem.

"Our main goal was to reduce risk," explains Dragstrem. "We had no other Sun/Unix/Oracle implementations other than Eagle Star, so we really didn't have the expertise. I could
