Mellon Private Asset Moves To Aegis, And NT

Pittsburgh-based Mellon Private Asset Management, a subsidiary of Mellon Bank Corp., is rolling out Barra Inc.'s Aegis portfolio analytic software to some 200 portfolio managers and assistants across the firm. The full rollout of the Microsoft Corp. Windows-based software will be completed by the end of May. Separately, the money manager also plans to upgrade its desktop operating system to Microsoft's Windows NT. Mellon Private Asset Management has $42 billion in assets under management. Mellon
