Jesper Bruun-Olsen is now head of Asia-Pacific operations at Algomi.

He will be responsible for establishing Algomi's presence in Singapore and Hong Kong throughout 2015, while expanding the Algomi Honeycomb network to facilitate APAC bond market liquidity.

Bruun-Olsen joins from Tradeweb where he served in various roles from 2001-2012. Prior to that, he was in charge of fixed income sales to international institutional investors at Nordea's offices in Copenhagen and Tokyo.

APAC Expansion

The appointment of Bruun-Olsen is in line with Algomi's strategy to expand its APAC operations in the coming years.

"APAC is a strategically important, diverse and exciting marketplace, and it is crucial to have an experienced individual on board, with practical expertise of operating across multiple jurisdictions as we move into the next chapter of our global growth," says Stu Taylor, CEO of Algomi.

In November 2014, Taylor took part in a global roadshow in Singapore and Malaysia which aimed to help promote London as a Fintech hub.
