BNPP Using Two Grid Systems

LONDON—BNP Paribas (BNPP) is using grid-enabling technology from two competing vendors, Platform Computing for the bank's equities and derivatives division, and DataSynapse for its structured credit space, officials tell DWT.

Bank officials from the Arbitrage group last week announced that they are using Platform's Symphony solution in the firm's Paris offices to grid-enable 2,000 personal computers running Microsoft Windows, as well as 500 dedicated servers. The bank uses servers from Hewlett
