Bloomberg analysts have different tales to tell for 2017 when it comes to regulatory oversight for asset managers in the US and Europe.

In a webinar yesterday, Nathan Dean, government analyst for the US at the news giant, and Sarah Jane Mahmud, who oversees Europe in the same capacity for the company, gave an overview of the regulatory landscape heading into 2017 in the US and Europe. While all capital markets firms in America are facing something of a moratorium—if not full rollback—on new regulations, the asset management industry may have the most to gain under a Trump presidency, noted Dean.
