Reuters Information Revenue Up, Boosted By Sales In US

EARNINGS REPORT

LONDON--Reuters Group revenue showed an improvement of 9 percent year on year for the six months ended June 30. Profits before taxes of £450 million were buoyed by a £160 million profit booked after a follow-on issue of Tibco Software shares by Tibco.

Reuters Information revenue rose by 5 percent, paced by a 10 percent increase in Asia/Pacific, where revenue in Japan and South Asia rose 7 percent and 10 percent, respectively. Americas’ revenue rose 11 percent because of "good" sales of Reuters
