As Drexel Dies, Data Vendors Lose Big Bucks

Market data vendors have already started to feel the pinch of Wall Street budget cuts, and some will see their revenues further squeezed by the demise of Drexel Burnham Lambert Inc. Data providers are among the many business partners Drexel left in the cold when it shut its doors in February.

Most hurt by the bankruptcy are the three biggest vendors -- Reuters Holdings PLC, Telerate Systems Inc. and Quotron Systems Inc. -- all of which made millions of dollars from Drexel each year, sources close
